Success Stories
Chloe and Ken were married in Tuscan village in Italy on July 5, 2008, our first Guardsmen Bachelor Auction inspired wedding ever!
At the Guardsmen Bachelor Auction 2006, Ken, a Guardsmen and plastic surgeon in San Francisco, was the very first bachelor auctioned. The date package was fabulous: a limo ride to Sonoma, private wine tastings at a number of our partner vineyards, followed by a wonderful dinner. Chloe, a Ford model and professional singer, enjoyed the date thoroughly. Although both Chloe and Ken had a bit of a hangover the next day, the mutual attraction was inescapable. The rest was history.
Teola and Matt met at the Bachelor Auction of 2005 and were married in 2007. In 2008 they welcomed their beautiful daughter Vivien into the world, (our first Bachelor Auction Baby!), followed in 2009 by their son Miles (the second Bachelor Auction baby!). Here is their story as told by Teola herself.
When I say "he was being auctioned off for charity", there is always a pause followed by laughter, as this is not the typical answer to the 'how did you two meet' question. Although this sounds like a great punch line - it is a true story!
In June of 2005, I had the pleasure of seeing how much the amazing bachelor that I had just met (the man who would become my husband) was worth on the open market. Now that we have shared laughter and tears at the altar, and in the delivery room I think he is worth his weight in gold. Need-less-to-say I am very thankful for such a great group of guys as the Guardsmen and especially for their Bachelor Auction.
The Guardsmen Bachelor Auction is proud to present its third marriage in five years.
Michelle decided to attend the 2006 Bachelor Auction last minute with friends to see the whole gang one last time before heading off to law school. Little did she know that her last minute decision would change her life forever, as she was about to meet her future husband Jerry.
The 2006 Bachelor Auction was Jerry's first as a member of The Guardsmen. The moment he met Michelle, he knew it would be his last auction as a Bachelor.
Three years from their first meeting at the Bachelor Auction, Michelle and Jerry were married at a beautiful ceremony in San Francisco, surrounded by friends and family, and yes, a couple of former Bachelors.
We wish Michelle and Jerry all the best in their new life together.
