The Guardsmen is a service organization of Bay Area professional men that, since 1947, has devoted its efforts to providing disadvantaged youth an opportunity to participate in camping, educational and other culturally enriching opportunities that they otherwise would not be afforded.

The Guardsmen is committed to advancing at-risk Bay Area youth by funding indoor and outdoor educational programs. We strive to assist those who want to attain the skills necessary to be productive members of society.

Through the Campership program, each year we provide financial support to allow approximately 3,000 children to attend summer camp and other summer programs. Through the Scholarship Funding program, we provide more than 140 annual private school scholarships to enable disadvantaged youth a choice in their education.

All members of The Guardsmen volunteer their time to provide these disadvantaged children with an opportunity to experience life outside the inner City. The members receive no compensation for their services. Our support comes primarily from donor contributions and special events.

The Guardsmen is a volunteer organization that receives no state or federal assistance, nor are we affiliated with any professional fund-raising organization.
